Making and breaking agreements with care - NVC with children

- Zeit:
March 23 -26 2023
- Ort:
1180 Vienna , Gentzgasse 27
In this workshop you will be supported as a teacher or parent to include children in decision making and how to deal with situations when agreements are broken.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is built on supporting independence and mutuality to be developed in parallel. This can in short mean to clearly speak for yourself and at the same time consider how your actions will affect others. This is not a simple dynamic to support and encourage in a group or a family with many differences, needs and wishes, combined with a busy schedule.
We will focus on finding a balance between clear leadership and taking the child’s point of view into account to create a habit of inclusion and co-operation.
We will practice to:
- make agreements in mutuality so that everybody can stand behind them
- support children to be motivated from inside
- include the children’s creativity to find sustainable ways together
- deal with agreements that do not work for everybody (anymore)
- be a role model for dialogue and understanding.
- be able to dialogue in challenging situations
